To be clear up front, Linda is a writing friend of mine and I had the pleasure of reading snippets of And The Fifth Element Is Fear before publication. I purchased her book although I am not a young adult reader and was surprised at how it captured my "adult" interest. Her characters came alive and each was endearing in his or her own way. The plot was a page turner and I enjoyed every reading moment. Kudos to Linda who created an evil force in an engaging place populated with interesting people.
Thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series! Katie's chance meeting of Robinson, then Cassie, and the reintroduction of Johnny from her past, creates an incredibly diverse foursome, a refreshing change from the well-known trios of late. I have purchased several copies for friends, and plan to purchase more!
When I read fiction (which isn't very often) I need a book that holds my interest and makes me like the characters.
If I can't find a character I can like, I lose interest fast. I read this book in a day.
There wasn't a character I didn't like! (I love Robinson though!)
I'm reading it yet again...then it's on to the second book in the series.
